VBS Mission Project

As we learn about Jesus, our forever friend, we will also reach out to friends around the world so that they too can learn the love of Jesus. During “Friendship Trek” this summer, 50% of our offerings will go to the Sunday School at the Limbazi Lutheran Church in Limbazi, Latvia.

Some information about Limbazi Lutheran Church

v Limbazi is a town of 8,700 people

v There are 270 members in their congregation

v Their church was built in 1680 – The church building was occupied by Communists for many years. Under communism, the people were forbidden to worship or learn about Jesus. The whole country is now in a rebuilding phase after the end of communism.

v They have 15 children 2 adult teachers and 2 youth assistants in their Sunday School.

The above picture was taken at Summer Camp. Summer Camp is similar to our VBS. The Limbazi Lutheran Church partnered with 2 other local congregations for this event.
